Let me count the ways...
- I adore your two generous glove compartments for the many pairs of gloves I seem to need in this frigid Florida winter.
- I am thrilled to have a handbag compartment, tucked cleverly underneath the gear shift, complete with a USB port and plug for my phone charger. (see photo at the end)
- Your 7 airbags make me feel safe and secure, especially as I transport my furry loved ones back and forth to the dog park.
- My Earth-friendly side loves your Eco plastics, used in the making of door vinyls, etc.
- Your dashboard display endears me to you, with its unique visuals of your battery-operated motor and gasoline-operated engine. I watch their demonstration of your performance passionately, wishing I had a passenger to adore it with me. (one view at end of post)
- I am amazed by your real-time 'MPG' monitor, and your Eco monitor that tell me how efficiently I am driving.
- I respect your three settings that allow me to choose the right power and Eco-friendly usage of your hybrid systems.
- I am surprisingly and profoundly in love with your rear view camera and GPS system that jointly keep me safe and get me where I am going.
- I appreciate your ability to snugly tuck my CDs away in a hidden player that no mere mortal could find without the manual.
- As for the manuals, I admire--if only from afar--the more than one thousand pages of documentation to educate me on my technological acquisition. I affectionately refer to these collective manuals as WAR AND PEACE.
- Thank goodness for your 25-page Quick Reference Guide, or I would not have figured out how to get you into reverse. Your gear shift is like something out of Star Trek.
- What's more, I absolutely, positively am enjoying the fact that I no longer have to embrace your key. Merely having your key in my pocket or handbag allows me to lock and unlock the car by touching a sensor on the driver's handle. Keyless entry and lockdown is technology at its best!
- I cannot finish this love list without mentioning that I have had you--my dear Prius--nearly 3 weeks, taken 3 out-of-town trips, and still have only filled up once. Did I tell you how much I adore your tiny 9-gallon gas tank and phenomenal gas mileage? When I do the math, I am amazed to see you reach 50 mpg!!!

I want one too. How much?
Depending on the extras you choose, I believe you can spend anywhere from the lower 20s to the mid 30s. At the upper range, you will get cool stuff like a solar panel that powers an exhaust fan to expel heat when your car is parked in the sun on a hot day. What an awesome idea, huh? Very Eco!
