I did promise, didn't I? Yes. I said I would keep you posted on how we did with organic tick treatments, following a tick infestation. You are probably asking yourself, "Organic? Is she nuts?"

Nope, but I am toxin free, and tick free, as well. Find it hard to believe? It's the miracle of peppermint oil and the expertise of Scott Milliron and his team at Bug Brigade. They are nothing short of amazing. Here's what happened:

In October we took a camping trip with our 3 dogs. While camping for 6 days we did a good deal of hiking in the woods. You know what that means, don't you? Ticks. I expected a few. What I did not expect was a few hundred. But that's what I got.

I called Scott with my problem, hoping he would have something in his bag of tricks that wouldn't poison the entire county. Honestly, I figured I would have to settle for some form of chemical in order to free the dogs, the yard and the house of a ever-reproducing population of these critters.

Surprise! It's January and I have not seen a single tick since before Thanksgiving.  Scott's program and products really worked magic. My job was simply to remove the critters from the dogs daily. They took care of the rest. And took care they did! My house and yard smelled like a candy cane factory on Halloween. Rather convenient, don't you think?

If you're thinking about trying organic pest control, there is no one I could recommend any better. Check out my earlier post at Natural Pest Control: Bug Brigade is Central Florida's Green Pest Control Provider.
