The Happy Hippie Goes Green
Photo from Happy Hippie Website
During the busy holiday season I took one opportunity to allow myself to wander the Internet. I hit paydirt at The Happy Hippie, and just have to share this great site with you. Despite the name that screams 1970s, the site focuses primarily on Eco-friendly products and services, while including many other useful and resourceful features:
- The Happy Hippie Forum
- Happy Hippie 101 (this is fun and educational at the same time)
- A barter board
- An Eco-shopping directory with a couple dozen categories
- Eco business reviews
- Product reviews and coupons
- An email newsletter
If you're looking for sustainable products, their shopping directory is very helpful and covers most categories. A great place to start for your online shopping, it also includes activism sites and business services. I highly recommend a visit. Who knows; you might come out with a peace symbol necklace and some ragged jeans you didn't know you just had to have. Enjoy!
